Corn Dog Systems
THE “GOLDEN BROWN” STANDARD IN CORN DOG AUTOMATION
We pretty much wrote the book on corn dog automation when our founder, Glenn Walser, filed the first patent in 1976. Since then, we’ve been continually improving our technologies, raising the bar for speed, efficiency, and handling, to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving demands of the industrial food manufacturing industry. With decades of innovation under our belt, our corn dog systems are fast, efficient, easy to clean and operate, expandable, and scaleable to meet the needs of any operation.
ON-TARGET OUTPUTS
Freely adjust your cycle times to meet your production plan reliably. Selectable production rates on our patented system guarantees optimal output at up to 16,000 skewers per hour.
INSTALLATION & TRAINING
Installation of our PTL systems takes place within 4-6 days, with 2-3 days of training with our team of technicians during and after production. AFS will help place and position your machinery according to specifications and assemble it from factory breakdown. AFS will fabricate batter lines, oil lines, and conduit associated with your PTL systems, and collaborate with outside electricians, plumbers, HVAC, fire suppression, and any other facilities contractors needed to prepare your facility.
CUSTOM DESIGN & FABRICATION
Every system we make is custom-designed to suit your unique processes and ingredients with robust functionality and simplicity in design at the core. Our PTL systems can accept straight sausages that are between 4-5 in. (100-127mm) in length, and .75-1 in. (19-26mm) in diameter. Sausages outside these dimensions should be discussed ahead of time to assess feasibility on equipment and possible customization.

ANCILLARY COMPONENTS
CUSTOM CONVEYOR SYSTEMS
The AFS shuttle conveyor catches corndogs from the end of up to two PTL systems and conveys them perpendicular to the flow of the PTL system, then elevates and distributes them onto a vibratory conveyor or freezer infeed. Our engineers design custom conveyor systems for the most efficient outputs for any application.
OIL HANDLING & FILTRATION
AFS oil handling systems provide the necessary pumping and storage capabilities to accommodate up to two PTL systems. The oil handling consists of two cone-bottom stainless steel oil tanks, with sizes determined by capacity. Our oil handling systems come complete with stainless steel piping, pumps, and stair platforms, and electronic integration with PTL system oil filters.
DRAKE SAUSAGE LOADER
The Drake sausage loader is a required component on the PTL-2600 system and optional on the PTL-2100 and PTL-2000 systems. This unit takes sausage right out of a peeler, or otherwise non-uniform presentation, and orients, collates, and loads the sausages onto the in-feed of the PTL system.
